Webster: November 23, 2020 at age 98
With the brightness of fire and the depth of the ocean, Nettie was intricately involved in advocating for human rights, and for society's overlooked. Her adamant devotion to her family was matched only with her dedication to social justice, with a good game of Bridge and a walk along Brooklyn's boardwalks as close seconds. Her propensity for learning, reading, and writing carried into the literary courses she attended in her 90s, and her own scriptures were drafted on typewriters until her last days. She breathed deeper around music and nature, and danced more than she walked in life. Nettie is survived by her son Seth, his wife Donna, and their two adult children, Gus and Brie. |
